Lucyphone.com is an online switchboard solution that lets you call any number that you occasionally or regularly call (especially customer service calls) without being put on hold for a long time. Lucy does the holding for you while you do something else productive, and she calls you back once she connects to a live person.
I usually make regular service calls for some of our systems at work, and sometimes i am put on hold for over 30 minutes before i speak to a representative. (depending on the time of the day) Lucy came in handy when i tried her service yesterday. She called me back after she was put on hold for 47 minutes and connected me to a live agent.
The service is free and I hope they can keep it free because i have to say on this one I love Lucy.
How it works
- Go to www.lucyphone.com
- Enter the number you want to call, and your call back phone number
- Lucy will call you first then “patch” you through to the company.
- Use the company’s phone menu just as you normally would. Get put on hold? Press ** and your phone will be disconnected but Lucy will stay on the line.
- Once a live agent is on the line, Lucy will call you back immediately and connect you both. Get put on hold again, just press ** again!
